Who is IRC Unlimited?

Born and raised in Fishers, Indiana, Carey Clark began working on farm equipment and tractors at a very young age. Working on the farm gave him the drive and passion to learn more about diesel trucks and cars. Carey chose to take that passion and make it into a career, graduating in 1996 from Vincennes University with a degree in Auto Mechanics. Carey’s career took him to several auto repair shops, expanding his skill set and knowledge.

In 2014, Carey’s daughter was born. Life began to shift, with a desire to spend more time with his daughter and a realization something was missing in the diesel repair field. In 2015, after two decades of automotive service expertise, IRC Unlimited was born, named after his daughter. The repair shop was launched with the mission to give the customer a personalized experience, fine-tuning a performance build and repair; delivered with honesty and integrity. Carey’s passion is developing relationships and personal connections formed through the shop’s business.

After a decade of owning and operating IRC Unlimited, Carey recognizes the faithfulness God has played in his decision to make his family and customers a priority. His daughter plays an active role in the shop and knows her way around a toolbox!

IRC Unlimited is a simple choice for a high-quality repair with a guaranteed personal experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I service my diesel truck?
Most diesel trucks should be serviced every 5,000–7,500 miles, depending on how you use the vehicle. Heavy towing, performance tuning, idling, or off-road use can shorten service intervals. Regular maintenance — including oil changes, fuel filter replacement, and inspections — is critical to keeping your engine reliable and preventing costly repairs.
Why is my diesel truck blowing black smoke?
Black smoke usually indicates the engine is burning too much fuel or not getting enough air. Common causes include:Dirty or clogged air filter / Faulty fuel injectors / Turbocharger issues / EGR system problems / Performance tuning adjustments / A professional diagnostic scan can pinpoint the exact cause.
What is your return policy?
Our return policy outlines the conditions under which you can return a product. Please refer to our website for specific details.
What are signs my diesel injectors may be failing?
Failing injectors can cause serious engine damage if ignored. Warning signs include:Rough idle or misfires / Hard starting / Loss of power / Excessive smoke / Poor fuel economy / Fuel smell in oil / If you notice these symptoms, schedule service immediately.
How often should fuel filters be replaced on a diesel truck?
Fuel filters should generally be replaced every 10,000–15,000 miles, though this varies by manufacturer and driving conditions. Clean fuel is essential for protecting injectors and the high-pressure fuel system — two of the most expensive components on a diesel engine.
